How to Cancel or Downgrade Your Invoice Falcon Plan
If you no longer need a paid Invoice Falcon plan, you can cancel your subscription at any time by switching to the Free plan. Both plans are shown on the Plans page in the Invoice Falcon app. When you cancel your subscription or downgrade to the free plan, the change takes effect immediately and you will not be charged for the previous plan going forward. All your invoices, templates, and settings are preserved.
Why You Might Cancel or Downgrade
There are several reasons to cancel or downgrade your Invoice Falcon plan.
- Budget changes. You may need to cut costs temporarily and the free plan provides enough functionality for your current needs.
- Lower usage than expected. If you are processing fewer than 50 orders per month, the free plan covers your usage at no cost.
- Seasonal needs. Some stores only need unlimited orders during peak seasons and can operate on the free plan during quieter periods
How to Cancel Your Subscription (Switch to the Free Plan)
Follow these steps to cancel your paid Pro subscription and switch to the Free plan. This is done entirely from the Plans page inside the Invoice Falcon app.
- Open the Invoice Falcon app from your Shopify Admin.
- Click Plans in the left-hand navigation menu. The Plans page shows both available plans side by side — Free and Pro
- Your current plan has a "Current plan" badge in the top-right corner of its card. If you are on the Pro plan, the Pro card shows this badge and its button reads "Subscribed" (disabled).
- Click the Subscribe button on the Free plan card.
- Shopify redirects you to its standard billing confirmation page where you can review and approve the plan change.
- Click Approve on Shopify's billing page to confirm the switch.
- You are redirected back to Invoice Falcon. The Plans page now shows the "Current plan" badge on the Free card. You are now on the free plan and will no longer be charged.

How to Uninstall Invoice Falcon Completely
Uninstalling is a separate action from cancelling your subscription. If you want to remove Invoice Falcon from your store entirely, follow these steps.
- Log in to your Shopify Admin.
- Click Settings in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar.
- Click Apps and sales channels from the Settings menu.
- Find Invoice Falcon in the list of installed apps.
- Click on Invoice Falcon to open its details.
- Click Remove app and confirm the removal when prompted.
Uninstalling automatically cancels any active subscription. Your invoice data and settings are retained on Invoice Falcon's servers in case you reinstall the app later.
What Happens After You Cancel or Downgrade
After you cancel or downgrade your plan, the following changes take effect.
- Immediate plan change. Your new plan takes effect right away. You are no longer charged at the previous rate.
- Order limits change. On the Free plan, you get 50 free orders / draft orders per month. The Pro plan has unlimited orders and draft orders per month.
- Support tier changes. Your support level changes from Priority support to Fast support.
- Data is preserved. All your templates, invoices, settings, bulk action history, and previously generated PDFs remain intact. Nothing is deleted when you downgrade.
Known Limitations
- You cannot cancel your subscription from Shopify's billing page. The change must be made from the Invoice Falcon Plans page by subscribing to the Free plan.
- The plan change takes effect immediately. There is no option to schedule a downgrade for the end of your current billing cycle.
- If you are in the middle of a 14-day free trial and switch to Free, the trial ends immediately and cannot be resumed.
- Shopify handles prorated credits. When you switch plans mid-cycle, Shopify typically issues a prorated credit for the unused portion. Check your Shopify billing page for details.
